Parker Pointe Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended and established on November 17, 2023 by the Board of County Commissioners of Miami-Dade County, Florida, Ordinance No. 23-95 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
Parker Pointe CDD encompasses an area of approximately 41.81 acres, generally located south of S.W. 312th Street (N.E. 8th Street), west of S.W. 162nd Avenue (N.E. 18th Avenue)/Farm Life Road, north of S.W. 320th Street (East Mowry Drive) and east of S.W. 167th Avenue (N.E. 12th Avenue), entirely withing the City of Homestead, Florida.
Parker Pointe CDD expects to plan establish, acquire, construct or reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate, and maintain additional systems and facilities.
A Community Development District (CDD) provides the 'solution' to Florida's need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. CDDs represent a major advancement in Florida's effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently. This allows a community to establish higher construction standards, meanwhile providing a long-term solution to the operation and maintenance of the community's facilities.
